The Vector Font Utility

Rotator must set some sort of record for the number of updates in one month! We were originally going to base a preview on Version 0.1 which was freeware, now it has reached 0.3 and is shareware!

The programs main aim is to improve the presentation of documents produced in programs like Papyrus. It adds some more advanced features including the ability to place text at any angle or even curve it into an arch or cirle. The program really require something like SpeedoGDOS or NVDI 3 to be installed to take advantage of its features. Using earlier versions of GDOS only allows angle alterations of 90 degrees. The interface, whilst being a bit basic, is well designed. All the features are easily accessible, and you can use any Truetype, Speedo or Postscript font you have installed. Various attributes can be given to the text - bold, italics, underline etc, and text can be any size.

There are a few bugs - none of which are major.

Future versions will offer support for GEM Vector files as well as coloured text and backgrounds. The program currently saves in .IMG format, and so can be used by virtually any Atari DTP package or Word Processor.

Overall, a well designed program which offers features not available in some major Atari text manipulation packages.
